Cashmere Juke

STRAIGHT BLOWN AWAY by this one.

Under the guise of Patrice & Friends, UK house producer Slackk teamed up with some buddies to create one of 2011’s weirdest, rowdiest, and bootay-cious albums, Cashmere Sheets on Sulk Records, which saw a highly limited, one time only CD-R pressin, but is still available digitally via the crew’s Bandcamp

R&B, soul and funk tropes gather under the influence of an 80s aesthetic, then are sped up to juke speeds of wiling drums and bass with layered with vocals. The end result, as the crew puts it, is “music for girls and drinking”. No arguments with that.

Patrice & Friends also dropped a recent FACT mix that blusters at a hurricane pace, a 35 minute freak fest of ferocious booty trax.
