RED BULL MUSIC Academy is an annual conference inviting musicians from all over the world to evolve their craft through a series of lectures, workshops and gigs, the likes of Erykah Badu, RZA, DJs Spinn & Rashad, John Talabot, and many more sharing their wisdom with the lucky few chosen to take part in the academy’s festivities.

RBMA is currently assembling a compilation featuring artists from 2011’s Madrid session, Various Assets – Not For Sale, of which three tracks are currently available to stream and download.

The first comes from Krystal Klear, who some of you may remember from his beautiful Eglo track with Olivier Day Soul, “Never Thought You Would Go“. “You Said You Loved Me” features fellow RBMA participants Ghosts On Tape and Broke One in a raucous 90s acid flashback to house music’s early days, wailing keys and churning bass making for a wild ride through Chicago’s past.

The second track, “The Perfect Blues”, comes in from our boy Jesse Boykins III and Gora Sou, the Zulu Guru composing another singeing, soulful schwaza track to get you in an early Valentine mood. Canblaster & Nightwave round out the stream with “Power Up”.

Stay tuned for more from the rest of RBMA’s 2011 participants.
